In an effort to determine the vitality of the Kichwa in the community and to determine the level of language proficiency by the families, we sought to clarify the role of this language and its cultural elements that they practice as their customs and traditions in this place. One of the most relevant factors is the diglossia where the attitude of the people is noted with different variables considering that the lower language is the Kichwa and with greater value the Spanish language takes place within the Papaloma community.
The theoretical foundation based on bibliographic and cybernetic research allowed us to understand the sociolinguistic reality and enrich related knowledge for this work. The most interesting was field research, through the application of relevant techniques and tools that facilitated the collection of pertinent information and observation guides were used to define the teaching and learning process to students by teachers within the institution educational
This investigative work made it possible to find that the conservative population of the mother tongue is the elderly and should be prioritized as the fundamental basis of indigenous culture.
The main thing is to have results that highlight a proposal to revitalize the mother tongue where the attitude of people and value their identity and students are proactive during the education process and the result is love and value to the knowledge and wisdom of the ancestors. |
