Sumario: In this paper the analysis of optimum reactive power flow was developed in the distribution systems, where problems were addressed within the power flow, determining the power losses as a cause, which is compensated by the distributed generation placement. The analysis was performed through the tabu search (TS) method, which was performed in the matlab software, through its math power library; we were able to establish the characteristics of each system. In addition this method allowed us to analyze the location of the distributed generation for the distribution system, moreover TS was in charge of evaluating the cost functions. This work was developed for the systems of 9 and 30, thus obtaining two cases of study, making a comparison of the losses of power and analyzing the stability of voltage in each one of them. With the study, it was possible to improve the voltage profiles, although in some bars, these were kept constant in such a way that they did not affect the system, it was also possible to compensate the power losses, thus helping to kepp stability, reliability and a Economic savings to the distribution system.
