Sumario: This current Project has the purpose of implements a mechanical wheel of wide 1 meter, which is built entirely of stainless steel and equipped with 50 blades for pumping water from spring steel. In chapter I provides a definition of hydropower and the importance of this to work the waterwheel, the history of the water wheel as well an also study the advant ages and criteria for selection of the pumping system. Types of water source, such as groundwater, chemical properties in substances that influence the acceptability of water are studied and defined.Finally the materials for using in the waterwheel construction are studied. In chapter II the study of alternatives between uses Rochfer water pump, electric pump and spiral wheel pump are performed. In chapter III design parameters are determined. In chapter IV the water wheel from the water speed pond outlet pickup is designed, the flow rote is determined, the numbers and dimensions of blades are determined; diameter, rpm, peripheral speed and torque of the wheel are designed as well. In chapter V, the direct and indirect costs, raw material costs, direct labor costs and indirect labor both civil engineering and construction of the aterwheel are discussed. And finally the conclusions, recommendations and annexes are presented.
