In this article, it refers to the location of faults in transmission systems using as a method the wavelet transform, mainly taking into account the location of the fault as a priority, the hybrid method that refers to the union of the wavelet packet decomposition (WPD) and to the improvement of the prony analysis method (IPA) that allows to carry out the transient analysis of the transmission lines and can be carried out with The algorithm of the location of fault by high frequency that gives parameters that we must know and interpret at the time of locating the fault. This method helps to detect, therefore, the classification and identification of the critical line and thus reduce the failures in the transmission systems, whether these short or long distance also helps to verify at any instant of time if the line or the lines they suffer from some disturbance or failure. |
