This work presents a systematization of the experience gained in the group intervention
process, applied to strengthen the ego of adult women who were victims of intra-family
violence in the Center of Equity and Justice “Eloy Alfaro”. This systemization of the
group intervention is important because it shows a specific form of group intervention
and allows also a metha-analysis of the benefits of psychoanalytic theory for possible
future interventions.
Strengthening the ego by group intervention is developed with two nuclear concepts:
Remembrance of trauma and modification of relationship. On the other hand, this
investigation contains an analytical thinking about the experience, actors and their
links with the institutions, history, culture and gender relationship, etc. It is identified
the most important learning acquired as well as mental health inputs, the methodology
used to categorized the information was categorical analysis method.
It was concluded that the group intervention process ushered significant changes in
women, therefore this group intervention has transformers effects in the person and
their relationships, the group can also be an apparatus for processing and re meaning
of the traumatic experience of violence, becoming a holding space to find new ways
of understanding and assimilating their history to start building changes. |
