This research work on “MATHEMATICAL LOGIC PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICE” set its main purpose towards discovering the daily school actions developed throughout the first year of elementary education in the State School “CARLOS AGUILAR” of Distrito Metropolitan of Quito, within the Mathematical Logic teaching-learning process.
The leading objective of this work was based upon the observation of the pedagogical practice used by the teacher within the schoolroom, in regards to the teaching-learning approach of the mathematical-logic development, in order to get acquainted with the different methodologies of the educational practice in the school sphere. This task started with a bibliographic analysis of the problem with respect to the curricular structure, for which purpose a Field Log was implemented, where the observer took care of registering every single detail. This chore was executed during 17 consecutive lecture sessions.
After collecting this entire information, an analysis was performed, demonstrating a lack of methodology and organization when giving lessons in schoolroom corresponding to the initial level, and therefore, the children show several difficulties, such as learning problems, chores making, complications when trying to solve daily life problems, fine motor skills developing limitations, lack of order within the schoolroom and, finally, without caring whether the children learn or not.
The criteria defined in the conclusions, determined the need of implementing a methodology and organization when exchanging the different schooling, as this will benefit the kids to handle order and to comply with the curricular structure. |
