Sumario: People with disabilities in their lower extremities need daily rehabilitation so that their muscles do not atrophy. There are commercial solutions in the market that are expensive and with basic operating characteristics. The present project has focused on solving this problem using an ergonomic chair, with biometric registration, personalized programming and alert to the therapist. The solution uses an Arduino Mega, biometric sensor, a database that registers up to 30 users, a GSM module and a chair that performs flexo-extension of knees at angles between 0 and 90 ° was developed. The rehabilitation chair for the lower limbs can be used by small, medium and large people, regardless of their gender. Some advantages of the solution are the touch screen with intuitive visual interface that allows anyone to operate, the fingerprint biometric as a registration key, personalization of the rehabilitation sequence (names, angle of exercise and rehabilitation minutes) and access to the history of the patient and at the end of the rehabilitation this sends a text message to the person performing the rehabilitation. All patients who have used this solution have expressed a high degree of satisfaction for the comfort they feel during the therapies, as well as the significant help for professionals in the field of rehabilitation who have a tool and technological support that allows them to improve the quality of your work with people with disabilities.
