Sumario: This research was conducted in the Floriculture estate belonging to the group Falcon Farms located in Canton Pedro Moncayo in the Pichincha province in northern Ecuador Manuela. The objective was to evaluate the behavior of the button variety of pink Freedom, using five colors cap cambrela prepared from fabric (recycled plastic). The design was completely randomized with 4 replications. The variables were: length of button, button diameter, percentage of incidence of pests, disease incidence rate and tonality. The results show that length was the best treatment button T4 (green cap) to 5.90 centimeters. Significantly, other treatments have also improved the length of the button since all recorded values higher than control treatment (T0) which managed 5.52 centimeters. As the diameter of the button, the best treatments were the T4 (green cap) and T5 (yellow cap) to 3.80 centimeters, for this variable cap treatments also outperformed the traditional management (T0 - control) that it had a diameter of 3.56 cm. For incidence of pests and diseases the only treatment that was recorded values T0 (control), with 2.5 % for the two variables. As for color tone button provided the best result the treatment T2 (red cap) in which 89% of those tested had the tone buttons B (Best Red). All other treatments were located with the highest percentage of the average tone buttons, except for the treatment T0 (control) submitted 53% of the buttons in the lower tone (D - Red very dark) with heavy damage blackenig. As it regards the cost analysis, placing the cap involves an increase in the production cost by 15% stem, which basically based materials and labor items.
