The present project seeks to optimize both the survey and the transmission of climatological information, thus facilitating visualization in real time and generating historical data, intervening in this way in making decisions regarding the use of natural resources that must be provided in the agricultural land in the Pisque River basin.
There are many weather stations in the market which in a large percentage are closed manufacturing presenting limitations in software and hardware, having as a negative aspect the restriction of performing some type of installation of new sensors and the software is linked to the acquisition of licenses.
The development of this project aims at the implementation of an agro-meteorological station that has similar characteristics to those of a conventional station, differentiating its operation in the use of open source, thus considerably reducing the cost of this.
Thanks to the coverage of the GPRS network (General Packet Radio Service) it is possible to transmit the data remotely to an application in a cloud service, thus allowing to manage the information and providing the agro-meteorological station with the function of store readings over certain periods of time.
When working with purely analogous data, the percentage of error can rise considerably, being important the inclusion of an alarm system when these values exceed certain parameters or there is some failure in the power provided by the solar panel or at the battery level. |
