On this investigation, it was made a diagnostic of the Universidad Politecnica Salesiana ( UPS ), Headquarters Quito, Campus El Girón, between june and july of 2013, supported by surveys of one-hundred and fifteen teachers, eighty-eight administrative staff, one-hundred and sixty four students without disabilities, and six hearing impaired students, as well as, two interviews with members of the UPS student Welfare department, three hearing impaired people from the Federación Nacional de Personas Sordas del Ecuador (FENASEC), and the director of the Instituto Nacional de Audición y Lenguaje (INAL). All of this with the objective of designing strategies to implement communication systems (technological and non-technological) which allow the inclusion of people with hearing impairment to the UPS; through theoric and practical research.
