Sumario: The present research will develop a methodological proposal in order to contribute to the discovery and comprehension of the natural and cultural environment in the first year of basic education. It presents didactic activities as a useful tool to improve the learning process and the academic performance. It has been found that children from first year of basic education have some empties of knowledge in topics like learning contents and the use of didactic materials during the process of the natural and cultural environment comprehension. Regarding to this issue it will be created didactic strategies so that students will improve their learning process through research, curiosity, exploration, and elaboration in order to benefit the students’ motivation and personal interests. The research will apply a descriptive methodology focused on the constructivist theory in order to assist teachers from first year of basic education. It has been taken into account some important aspects related to the natural and cultural environment and it also involves: legal framework and theory framework that will help the development of the research. Moreover, it was created a didactic strategies guide with five activities using recycled material and each strategy will clearly explain how to use it. Finally, it was carried on the conclusions the research.
