One of the great challenges a territory faces regarding its zoning is handling adequately the solid waste. Local population and authorities are aware this is tied to health, wellbeing, environment protection, and the efficiency and productivity of the city.
Because of this, one can suppose we are all willing to produce strategies that allow us to revert the unfavourable conditions and create healthy environments for the citizens. More for those living near the landfill. So which are those special conditions that help joining efforts among community, leaders, public and private institutions and authorities as well?
When the objective is to achieve healthy and fair life conditions several questions emerge. Is it necessary to compensate those living near the landfill? What should this compensation be? |
