Sumario: This thesis makes the observation and analysis of the fundamental processes of the company Incoltextil-Salomé based on the value chain, which identified the main activities such as inbound logistics, operations, outbound logistics, marketing and sales, service; backing or support activities that are company infrastructure, human resource management, technology development and acquisitions; seeking to create value in added their activities and enabling them to establish an advantage over its rivals, including the company in today's competitive markets. All companies working for sustained growth and with quality, which is the result of careful observation of the activities that they developed in each process, to thereby create value for customers, it is also known as satisfaction, Because for customers don't exist one more competitive company that the one that fulfills your expectations. Often companies invest large amounts of money in sudden and empirical process changes without substantiating their investment in a study of reengineering processes to achieve resource optimization and lower the costs without changing the product quality. The efficient performance of each activity avoids the recoil processes, which is reflected in the optimal use of resources. The value chain is in interaction with the developed processes in the company, its positive and negative effects affect organizational level. It is essential to use it as a tool to create and sustain a competitive advantage.
