Sumario: The present research had to purpose determine the levels of urea in milk (Milk Urea Nitrogen by MUN) as a metabolite that allows MUN correlate with the physical chemical milk and protein levels in milk composition. They were selected 42 producers of Oro Blanco association Cayambe canton, parish Olmedo, La Chimba community, samples were analyzed for 12 months, a total of 504 samples were analyzed were selected, the same as they were subjected to analysis compositional, hygiene, sanitary and MUN. This study was divided into two seasons (winter and summer) to determine which of these higher levels of MUN in milk was, and which of the measured parameters there a relationship is. Among the variables studied for milk composition (fat, lactose, protein, total solids and somatic cells); they found no significant relationship with MUN. According to the results obtained in this research, most of the sampled animals present values of normal MUN between 12 to 16 mg / dL and correlation between MUN and percentage of protein in milk, analysis of variance did not detect differences between groups (<10 mg / dL) (10.1 to 12 mg / dL) (12.1 to 16 mg / dL) (> 16 mg / dL), therefore in this study, the content did not influence MUN the percentage of protein in milk.
