Domestic violence is one of the problems that nowadays some institutions worldwide are
discussing on with the aim of stop it.
The structure of society that reproduces speeches based on central phallus behaviors is just
part of the problem; this contributes increasing inequality, abuse, higher death rates and
stigmatization of women who are victims. The World Health Organization explains that
fifth percent of women worldwide have experienced violence in their lifetime.
In our country the information is higher, 6 in 10 women are part of the statistics.
Psychological violence is the type of domestic violence that has more impact on the victim;
it cannot be treated in the court because there is not a legal figure that punishes it in the
Ecuadorian law. Institutions in Ecuador are trying to prioritize causes, and adjudicating in
less time, this is done to benefit victims.
The development of this thematic involves not only looking legal intentions of the State
that pretends to regulate the actions of the victim and give the right punishment for the
aggressor. It also wants to seek the way to reformulate the way in which the Government
makes an inclusive society in which the fulfillment of universal rights is guarantee.
This dissertation presents an analysis based on the perspective of several professionals that
supported the need to find a new paradigm for understanding this problematic that each
day is bigger. |
