The newscasts in the community that are transmitted in the local channels of the city of Quito are shown with a technical work oriented to think the concept of community. But in this sense, this concept of community differs with television practices and the media discourse of private channels in whose spaces the facts of the place are seen with handling of a language that tries to relate facts and community.
The study that is presented seeks to know these technical distances when constructing community messages about the events that occur daily; A look that discusses the reality of daily news and the reality of the facts of the community or how the informational discourses are proposed in private media.
