Humans are subject to learn throughout their lifetime, either informally, whose knowledge is generated from home, and formally through educational institutions. In the educational context of Ecuador, primary and secondary education has undergone continuous change in order to improve the quality imparted to children and young people in the classroom knowledge. These changes are allowing children and young people, improve their skills and abilities to acquire new knowledge, and thus achieve needed to continue his studies at the best universities in the country and the world powers.
In this research, a study of the professional and job prospects of young second and third degree from two educational institutions of the province of Cotopaxi, located in urban and rural areas was performed. The study was conducted using a qualitative comparative analysis, by applying interviews and focus groups to analyze relevant data on occupational and professional future that young people aspire to reach once completed highs school.
The expectations of young people regarding you professionally in the investigated educational institutions, indicates the result that they wish to continue their higher education despite the economic situation that crosses every family environment; however, to continue this process they should seek part-time jobs and other livelihood order not to frustrate their desires and professional purposes. |
