Sumario: This investigation was carried out to try to reduce and give good use to the slag produced by the retread processing of tires, said slag was used in the production of vehicular cobblestones. The main objective is to perform an analysis of the mechanical properties such as compressive strength and resistance to abrasion wear, to determine if it can be used in construction and thus ensure its commercialization and distribution. The dosage of a conventional paver of 35MPa was proposed, at said dosage a percentage of fine aggregate was removed to be replaced by rubber particles. Several samples were made with different percentages of slag, the percentages tested are 20%, 12%, 10%, 5% and 3%. Obtaining as an optimal value 12% of rubber particles, with a compressive strength of 36MPa and in the abrasion wear resistance test, a value of 25mm complying with the established INEN norm.
