Sumario: The present document contains the systematization of the experience on the formation of a psychological group intervention program for the self – esteem strengthening of the homosexual community of the Equatorial Equity Foundation in the period April - June, 2017. For the realization of this project, the procedure that was followed consisted of a diagnosis, the project approach, the application of the project and finally the development of the present work that reflects each step during the whole process. The project arose from the need for a listening space in a safe and respectful environment to deal with themes related to self-esteem, because it is affected by the constant discrimination to which they are exposed because of their sexual orientation. For this reason, the purpose of the conception of this therapeutic group was to strengthen this area of the personality that was injured. This was done through three categories: self-integration, self-consciousness and self-responsibility, which, from Nathaniel Branden's theory, are the basis of healthy self-esteem. The results of this process are evidenced in the interpretation of the participants’ verbalizations where a marked change in the attitude and behavior of the same is shown. Finally, we present conclusions and recommendations regarding group intervention, this work being a guide for future projects related to the subject of self-esteem.
