In Ecuador there are different types of snack factories in the city of Quito that are mostly handmade, which increases the cost of manufacturing time and the production stage, so the design of a prototype of a packing machine can favor this production. The factory of Suin products is located in the north of this city and is dedicated to this activity, the work process is not systematized and a packaging machine is beneficial; To solve the problem in the packaging stage, a prototype was designed to increase productivity in time and resources.
In the present work, the solution to the packaging problem in the Suin products factory is explain by making a simple design but decreasing production times and costs. For the operation of the prototype a PLC (programmable logic controller) is used where the activities that are going to be carried out are programmed to satisfy the user's requirements, the different weights that are packed, an HMI (man machine interface) screen is also used. contains a menu that allows accessibility to the operator in choosing the number of covers and the weight is required to pack to fulfill the order, for weighing a load cell is used that has a good sensitivity and optimal weights are obtained which favors the production , storing information of the packed cases. At the end of the packaging process, information is obtaining on the amount of bags packed in a database that will be favorable for the administration to keep an accounting. |
