Sumario: "VIVO" Elderly care has been designed for adults who desire to age with dignity and in order for senior citizens to find an adequate place which promotes the development, the autonomy, the interaction and the participation of the age group in their community and their family environment through services such as occupational therapy, recreation, community workshops, basic and psychological health care and other appropriate gerontological facility services that keep elderly active. The center has scheduled daily activities that are subjected to explicit rules which allow the individual to avoid a sedentary lifestyle. They also help families recognize the elderly as an appreciated resource of moral values, knowledge and ways of discovering an exceptional life not only by their age, but also by their experiences. One advantage will be to provide comprehensive care, oriented to the stimulation and maintenance of cognitive, motor and relationship skills. The elderly will be helped by specialized professionals.
