"Golden years" is a development center planned to provide a developing space for Pomasqui´s elderly. Special activities will be used to improve their economy, quality of life and both mental and physical health; also, elderly will avoid sedentary lifestyle and lack of personal car. In this way, they will be able to enhance their self-esteem, they also could obtain a recognition of their relatives, by becoming a real example, despite their age.
The center will schedule daily activities; they will take place in the rectory with the backing and support of the parish priest. The activities were perfectly studied in preferences and availability of time. One of the advantages is the high level of confidence, since elderly and personnel are Pomasqui habitants, so atmosphere will be familiarity and camaraderie. |
