Sumario: This document includes the design and construction of a shredder and extruder for producing plastic thread used in 3D printers. Chapter 1 begins with the study and selection of material to be processed, the physical properties will be used to select the polymer which by its nature is the best choice for manufacturing plastic thread. Once determined the material to be processed factors as cost, operabili ty and design of the machine will be used to select the type of crusher and plastic extruder to obtain thread. As a last point in this chapter will proceed to write the theoretical foundation and necessary for the design of the elements of both the crusher and plastic extruder wire formulation. In chapter 2 the static and dynamic design will be developed, based on stress and strain, the material and dimensions of each of the elements of the shredder and extruder be determined. In chapter 3 an economic study , for which the costs and expenses shall be calculated involved in building machines to establish the profitability of the project will take.
