Sumario: The overall objective from this thesis is to describe the development of the Ecuadorian children’s literature between 2007 and 2012. And analyze which their pedagogic implications in the task of teaching and in the children’s reading concept are. This thesis is based on an exhausted literature investigation which is complemented by a field research on the issue posed. It includes nine interviews to experts on each field involved in the development of Ecuadorian children's literature, among those enrolled: public and private institutions, publishers, writers, educators and civil society. In addition, a questionnaire on lecture interests was applied to 120 students in the primary section of La Salle High School – Conocoto.
