Sumario: The moors are Andean particular ecosystems. The climate, location and other factors make the moor unique in regional and national characteristics. This is a strategic ecosystem due two fundamental environmental services proportionate that are directly and indirectly related to the population: the provision of water and atmospheric carbon storage. The main mechanism for these services is the soil; their specific use can affect their different characteristics and properties. Thus, this study was aimed to assess the current state of the moor soils of the “MonjasBajo” commune in connection with its use. For which the area was divided in two zones: with some kind of human intervention and intervention-free zones. In each of these areas were carried out analysis of physical, chemical and biological parameters. Strategic parameters such the content of organic matter, show us proper values of a moor (11,33% in soil without human intervention and 10,43% in soil intervened). By analyzing the results of the laboratory phase, was concluded that both areas intervened as non-intervened, showed a simile behavior in most of the indicators evaluated, differing only in specific parameters such as density and associated properties. Demonstrating that human activities on the moor of the commune caused minor changes in soils, despite which the soils under study still maintain own moorland soil characteristics.
