Sumario: The structure of this article focuses on the study of the Argentinean experience related to the Right to the Truth. Therefore, first, the Right to the Truth will be defined as a one that allows to know the facts and circumstances of human rights’ violations and to know the authors and fate of the victims. Later, the historic process that allowed to consolidate this right are exposed: the military dictatorship, the formation of the National Commission on the Disappearance of Persons, the laws of Full Stop and Due Obedience and, finally, the Truth Trials. Argentina appears as an emblematic country that allows to identify the debates on Right to the Truth that has resulted in the consolidation of this right.
