Sumario: The present article talks about the next relevant issues. The first section of the article refers to the construction and implementation of the European Higher Education Area and its application in various countries. Secondly, it focuses on the application of the EEES in the Spanish model. The third part explains the transversal values of higher education and the role that governments have given to universities. Finally, it studies the application of this system in the social and legal sciences, including the subject of constitutional law.
