Sumario: Organizations must adapt to changes required by the globalized market. The changes required by the organization, understood as a social system, find the normal resistance of people to change their habits and customs, not to leave their comfort zone. This article reviews the experience of implementing the quality management system ISO 9001: 2008 at the Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud (FUCS), during which the participants were reticent. In the development of the research tools were presented to minimize the factors that produce resistance to change and to facilitate the implementation of practices, principles, strategies and technologies of quality management, based on the coaching methodology. The results indicate the usefulness of this methodology so that the people involved potentialize their abilities and reorient their work around the objectives that are to be achieved and understand the management system not as an additional burden but as an instrument that facilitates the achievement the organizational goals.
