From the management principles, the hierarchical structure and the concept of strategy in the military circle, arises scientific management. This article is an advance in research about the state of the art in strategic management and its association with quality management systems; it describes the evolution of its most representative aspects, synthesizing global context, the fundamental aspects in the organization, and identifies the elements that enable to strengthen management and improve the capacity of the organizations.The state of the art in strategic management is described by generations: Antiquity and Middle Ages, the 1800 centennial and the 1900 centennial, which is described in two-decade periods, built from the most representative milestones of each period. |
