Sumario: This article is the development of a first phase of the research project Strategic thought in micro enterprises of food production and it is intended to reflect on the nature and historical evolution of strategic thinking from the analysis of approaches of authors such as Mintzberg, Ahlstrand, and Lampel in the text Safari to Strategy (1999), Chandler (1962), and Andrews and Ansoff (1976), in order to elucidate what thinking strategically means to the research group, to establish strategic thinking trends in the current dynamics of the MSMEs and analyze their vulnerability to micro and macroeconomic changes.
