Quinua ceramics is a traditional art with high recognition at national and international level. The peculiar style of the designs, the tradition of their characters, compositions, symbols and artistic technique comes from pre-Hispanic and colonial origins. The contribution of its amautas, the recognized masters of popular art and the new generations have contributed to the appreciation and recognition of the art of Quinua. This article has as main objective to present an overview of the characteristics of the Quinua ceramics through the four types of works realized by the artisans as the pieces of utilitarian, decorative, ceremonial and musical instruments. Likewise, the museographic design proposed for the Interpretation Center is based on the graphic proposal based mainly on the colors typical of Quinua ceramics. |
