Sumario: Along this topic of research the worry appeared for improving the linguistic productive skills of the students of ELE. In consequence, one resorted to the analysis of a bilingual dictionary, with the intention of identifying the needs, the problems and the requirements that the users have. The previous thing, it allowed to determine that several times the student does not rely on the sufficient information about the dictionary that it can help them in their process of approximation and learning to the language the Spanish puts in this case, on not having been able to choose a suitable copy. For this study there chose the compendium Richmond Pocket Dictionary, whose analysis will centre on its macrostructure and microstructure, from which a reflection will be realized on the suitable implementation and the utilization and this way to manage to determine the relevancy offered by this lexicographical work in favor of the improvement of the productive skills. The usefulness that has the bilingual dictionary, as fundamental tool in ELE's learning, is transcendental inside the classroom; not only because it allows the student to extend his lexical flow, but because it offers to him the possibility of being informed by a major lexicographical content in order that it should decode and codifies supplied information that he needs at the moment of emitting a terms of reference. Also, the offer of the use of the bilingual dictionary for the education of the Spanish like foreign language is realized as pilotage, in order to see if it is viable this use in the levels A1 and A2, furthermore, if there is born in mind that it does not exist no copy that realizes of the whole summary of the idiomatic vocabulary of a language, good be mother or foreign.
