Sumario: this paper presents an advance of research carried out at five public schools in Bogotá. We tried to approach social representations of teachers as a construct among colleagues and principals. the results show us that these relations affect the school climate and the way violence is addressed at schools, and that they can be powerful ingredients of teacher malaise. the study is qualitative; through focal groups and interviews individual and collective discourse is gathered and the imaginaries of participants are interpreted.
