Sumario: In this research exercise, the issue of relations emerging power in the Colombian formal education sector is explored, specifically those between officials of the Ministry of National Education, school principals and teachers. To do this, theoretical postulates proffered by authors like Michel Foucault, Francois Dubet, Max Weber, Omar Aktouf, Zygmunt Bauman and Daniel Goleman, and others are examined. In the methodological part, they are reviewed and categorized; press releases occurred in education during 2014, analyzing them in the light of these theories, to detect them, issues concerning power relations. Finally, the findings produced by contrasting the conceptual support, with reality documented in the news events are presented.
