In this paper it shows the whole process of six sigma performed in a manufacturer of urban lighting poles, through the DMAIC methodology which seeks to give the best possible solution according to results thrown by statistics and qualitative analysis tools. The central problem is the waste generated black water pipe production; they were disclosed to the research team, several aspects in which they are generating waste in time and materials, but the most shocking for different areas is production waste generated by cutting the black water pipes. The black water tube has diameter measures 2 inches by 6000 millimeters long. The tube is removed from the warehouse of raw and taken to the machine by a crane, which facilitates the transport operator and material handling and cutting the same materials. The waste generated is placed back into the raw materials warehouse, where it is stored randomly indefinitely. |
