This degree work has as main objective to reduce the flow time of the production process in a baking company from redesign and standardization of production processes. The project was addressed in three stages. The first one covers the diagnosis and analysis of the current situation and understanding of the constraints inherent in the process. The second stage includes the design of improvement scenarios for increased productivity and reduced flow time of the current process. The third stage involves the implementation of pilot tests for the proposed scenarios and selection of the best alternative solution from the evaluation of the impact generated in the process.
The study is sustained in that the standardization and process redesign are essential tools in different management models to achieve waste reduction and maintain adequate levels of productivity are reflected in competitive production costs. |
