Sumario: The research was conducted on discursive and pedagogical practises of teachers in higher education in the regions of Antioquia. The delivery of teaching was to provide a course of many hours, in several consecutive days in sub-regions of the department, called concentrated presentiality. The teachers who are part of the programs move from Medellin and deliver a curriculum built for the program independent of where it is offered; this may result in teaching practises that adapt to regional differences and influence the learning process. The practises used by teachers are described and the changes generated in the student learning experience. Following a descriptive case study methodology, it was found that the visiting teacher retained control and considered the level of education of students to be lower in the regions secondary to the quality of high school education. The intensity of the teaching was exhausting both for teachers and students which lead to adjustments to the educational programme in order to enhance the education and learning. The opinions and feedback from the teachers who visit the regions can enhance the delivery of educational material that applies to a regionally specific context.
