The successful development of microfinance in general and microcredits in particular among the poorest classes of the least developed countries, has changed the parameters on the types of support to these groups. In this paper, we explain why microfinance and microcredits, its fundamental objectives, operational and market structure, human and social, in which its activities are carried out. We intend to establish a pattern of behaviour and action of the current situation of the sector and envision a future projection, designed to show whether microfinance tend to further expansion or, on the contrary, the problems faced by the current development may slow. The analysis follows that the system needs to be funded to be effective, covering the high costs thereof. Therefore, it has been necessary to resort to external financing, mainly through large capitalist conglomerates, which can ensure the necessary funding for further expansion to decrease the high fixed costs of microloans. In achieving this objective, which allows to produce benefits and capitalized largely depend on the survival of this financing system. |
