Communication media play an important role in representation of social groups which make up the world. With this in mind, it would be plausible to characterize the treatment given by some dailies and magazines to the Ecaes. This characterization exalts the frequency with which this subject is referred to, the journalistic founts, the genre used, and the means and ways in which it is designated or valued. In their totality, these aspects – which motivate this work – provide a lead to understanding how much visibility and what kind of visibility the media has accorded the Ecaes. |
