Sumario: The interest of this exercise of inquiry was to conduct a case study, through the analysis of interviews and legal sources, based on a qualitative research methodology with a semi-structured interview, which seeks to understand the social facts and realities from The subjects studied from the ideas of time, planning and productivity, were questioned the rectors or senior managers, teachers, service personnel and students within the framework of school time management. The investigation was carried out in two educational institutions, one in the city of Cali and the other in the municipality of Cerrito, Valle del Cauca, which have the following characteristics: 1st private with coverage (Colegio Compartir) and 2nd public (Educational Institution Sacred heart) The inquiry is written in four chapters, the first specifically referring to the conception of time from the historical and cultural elements, mainly from the historical evolution until today, for it mentions authors like Beriam and Heidegger; In the second chapter the context of the problem is described; The third chapter shows the interpretation of the findings and evidences from the interviews. Finally, closure is given by some final ideas in chapter four. It is important to emphasize that the concerns that motivated the study, in general terms, are inscribed in subjects such as the power relations that are generated from the use of the times and how it influences the health - productivity of the faculty, a certain logic of managing The school time.
