Written language development not only requires the presence of cognitive and motor abilities on behalf of the child but also educational strategies that favor the comprehension of the communication system. There for Waldorf education presents itself as an alternative strategy that recognizes the child as an active subject of the learning process and is based on games, eurythmic and artistic expressions in favor of different processes. The objective of the investigation is to categorize the experience that Colegio El Triángulo has had in the adaptation of this model in order to facilitate the process of acquiring written language in 5 and 6 year old children, based on the ethnographic approach and the case study strategy. The results indicate that the children clearly differentiate drawings from writing, they spontaneously write their names and reflect their ideas throughout different written symbols, this is the reason why it is said that they oscillate between a syllabic phase and the syllabic-alphabetic phase. In conclusion Waldorf education favors the development of written language because it deals with the development of gross and fine motor abilities, muscle tone, image fixation, concentration among other fundamental abilities to face this process |
