In this monograph, an analysis was made from the Lacanian psychoanalytic perspective on the religious phenomenon and its main characteristics, for which several Freudian texts were taken that sought to explain the incidence of religion in the subject's life and how it is capable of transforming and structure the psyche of the subject. Then, Seminar III and V were taken to explain from the theory what is related to psychosis, the Name of the Father and the non-inscription of that name in the psychotic structure, in such a way it is tried to show by means of two cases of paranoia how the religious phenomenon is assumed and structured and how the psychotic subject acts in the presence of the religious phenomenon in relation to the stabilization or trigger in the symptoms.
