The Salesian work in Cayambe covers many aspects of the daily life of the people who live and work in that city, the most important aspect being education. The main objective of this work is to design the campus network for the continuing training center of the Salesian Polytechnic University in order to power up the existing technological infrastructure and to provide the connectivity needed by this training center in the cayambeña community. To achieve this, in the first instance, we must do a coverage analysis of the wireless equipment, information gathering with which a physical diagram was developed and a complete logical diagram of the current state of the network. Subsequently, the new campus network was designed based on the life cycle model: PPDIOO (Preparation, Planning, Design, Implementation, Operation and Optimization), proposed by Cisco, which carried out an effective design that guaranteed connectivity to the internet of the estimated 28 access points. The final part of the work consists of a prototype that located six access points in the parts in which the Salesians authorities requested as priority according to the new design; this prototype was subjected to coverage tests whose results were consistent with the design, an important result was in the third floor where the use of five access points was dimensioned, while three were installed and 60% real coverage was achieved wireless, percentage supported by the use of Ekahau software. |
