The plan of active pauses in the "Casa Navarro" was successful and took place with
normality in the planned weeks, it was possible to rely on in average the assistance
of 98 % of the sample (22 people), since we were at the expense of coordinators
agenda. At the beginning the participants were hoping that the manager of the
process would invite them to participate in the active pauses, however as the time
passed the employees had their own initiative to start the activities of the active
pauses in the assigned area, because the exercises were not performed in the same
place where they normally work. The response of this activity was superior than
expected, as the staff members even shaped new exercises to share with them all. If
one couldn´t participate a certain hour (15h30) they used to agree a new schedule in
order to avoid been absent. After the program was over, they realized that this
activity helped greatly in the prevention of muscle disorders, and also lead them to
“hang out with co-workers and friends for a while“
According to what it was mentioned, I certainly consider that one of the principal
goals was to make employees conscious about the importance of practicing the
active pauses inside an organization. Actually the members of the staff are more
concerned about their physical and mental health, and is because of this that the
activity will continue indefinitely; in addition the activities strengthen ties between
the co-workers, and the labor cohabitation has been improved. There is much more
fellowship and compromise in the daily tasks. |
