The present research is articulated to a major study called "Cognitive development,
quality of life and subjective perception of aging" developed by the teacher Dalila
Heredia (2016), whose objective is to know the main characteristics that make up the
quality of life of the group of Older adults of the sector of the Roldós - Pisulí, during
the months of January - July of 2016.
For its fulfillment, the quantitative methodology was used through the Brief
Questionnaire on Quality of Life and the application of a data sheet for obtaining
sociodemographic data that allowed the group to be characterized. The sample
consisted of 30 men and women over 60 who are beneficiaries of the Community
Development Center "Casa Somos".
The results obtained regarding the components of the quality of life (health, social
integration, functional skills, activity and leisure, environmental quality, satisfaction
with life, education and income) and additional components (frequencies and
satisfaction with social and health services ), From the multidimensional approach and
active aging, showed that the subcomponents of social integration, environmental
quality, education and income do not favor the full development of the quality of life;
In spite of which, the group shows a stable quality of life, being compensated with
high values in functional skills, health and activity and leisure. These results have to
do with the historical dynamics of the group. |
