Gender-specific violence in courtship is a topic that has been slow to appear
in discussions of gender-based violence, since in the field of gender-based violence,
research has focused primarily on violence in the relationships between adult couples
and heterosexual couples. When talking about gender violence in courtship (VN),
there are no clear agreements to distinguish or consider the characteristics of this
type of relationship. Some authors state that the time of duration is the one that gives
the guideline to understand when it is a relation of courtship. On the other hand,
when the subject of courtship is mentioned, it has been implicitly understood to be a
subject allusive to adolescents or young adults, which means, as we have already
mentioned, that it has been a field that is relatively unexplored unlike violence within
of marriage.
Here, we present the work carried out from the use of narrative productions
on the theme raised, collecting narratives from the participants and contrasting with
contributions from various authors that mention gender violence in courtship. We
also take into account concepts such as violence Gender in the country, gender roles
and conceptions about love, in order to approach the problem raised.
In this present study it has been possible to observe new conceptions around
the violence of gender with respect to love and gender roles, nevertheless these
conceptions are influenced by traditional and stereotyped ideas that are easily
concealed under new forms to conceive the Affective relationships within the
courtship. |
