Sumario: The present research work develops a new methodological approach to sensitize university students with regards to inclusive education. It takes as its basis inclusive education theory as well as the most relevant national regulations stipulated in Ecuador´s Constitution (2008) and the conceptual framework provided by the Law of Higher Education (LOES). The methodological proposal consists of two workshops designed to be used with students in their first year of study for the Bachelor´s Degree in Elementary and Middle School Education at the Salesian Technical University in Quito, Ecuador. The two proposed workshops are entitled “Constructing a Culture of Inclusion” and “Voices of an Inclusive Culture”. The workshops have been designed using constructivist methods that give each participant the possibility of developing and constructing their own knowledge, relating it to the environment in which they themselves operate. The present methodological proposal contains objective-based plans, programming and evaluations for each workshop, as well as slideshows and videos. All of the information used in the workshops is also summarized in a handout entitled “Positive Language and Disability”. These workshops will help sensitize first year students in regards to the topic of inclusiveness, especially relating to the population of students with disabilities.
