Governability entails an approach meant to transcend the strict scenery of the sate-based
national government. It is envisioned from a democratic perspective to be molded and
adapted into Territorial Management according to its diverse regional and local realities
since it bring about deep changes within the perspectives of State regional and local
planning. This viewpoint overcomes the vision of public action centered on the State
realm. On the contrary, such perspective focuses on ensuring greater participation to
local actors.
The relevance of making of making governance an integral part of local management in
the current politico-constitutional of Ecuador is taking on the challenge of
implementing a strategic vision management not only institutionally speaking, but
territorially. This is where the conditions are created to act together through common
agreements that legitimize a democratic path to integrate decision-making and the
respective citizen vigilance. |
