The Quito Historic Center keeps, aside from its heritage buildings, life stories of characters that make this place part of their daily life, since they have been working in this space for some years. This work portrays through a photographic book a small part of the value of the life of these actors that many times are invizibilizados on the part of the authorities and the inhabitants of the city in general. To this end, a case study was carried out to gather information about the lives of these characters and, together with the photographs, to translate it into the communicative product. Despite attempts by part of the power to make them invisible and catalog them as informal because they do not fall within the established order, they have resisted ordinances and controls, reappropriating these public spaces, in which they have been present for many years with the Sole purpose of having a means of subsistence. Development within the city should take into account all those who make it a metropolitan space. |
