The photo report: "The communicative art of Hip Hop" was carried out in order to
analyze the nature of the communication practices of Hip Hop as the construction of
identity in the city of Quito, proposing new communicative scenarios of this youth
culture, generating a break of the stereotypes about marked, giving a different view of
their practices and establishing a closer link with the social reality.
The identity of Hip Hop is reflected through communication practices by the four
elements: Mc, Dj, graffiti and break dance, so that you can identify these artistic
expressions through their lyrics, images and dances. These practices have created new
scenarios made visible through this communication product, which is told in 40
photographs, in a digital photo book.
Social relationships and communication practices of Hip Hop have been important
figures in the process of identification, ideological and social position, for the
realization of this photo report, leading the enrichment and academic relevance, with
a case study executed and insertion within this youth culture.
Attendance at various events have made it possible to highlight these practices by
shooting in which their identity and new scenarios are reflected, thus obtaining the
creation of a relevant communicative product. The research took place through
interviews with some of its exponents and attending concerts, adding to this the
academic research on the subject. |
